Amy and Matt's wedding was 100% our kind of wedding. They did it exactly the way they wanted to and it was perfect. Scratch that, it was beyond perfect! Everything they told us about their day in the run-up never prepared us for how good their wedding was! Being both arty people, like us, we knew their wedding would be an aesthetic delight but we were astounded by just how amazingly colourful their wedding was. It may actually be the most colourful wedding we've ever seen. Everything was fun, bright and exciting. From the table decorations, to the streamers and pompoms, the happiness was abundant and reflected their characters to a tea. Their barn wedding at the Cheerful Chilli in Otley gave them a blank canvas to work with, surrounded by a fantastic bit of Yorkshire scenery just outside of Leeds. The Cheerful Chilli, renowned for it's vegetarian food, delivered amazingly for Amy and Matt's wedding breakfast. It's a seriously good venue for veggies or just anyone who likes good food, frankly! And as regular viewers will know, we're huge fans of dogs at weddings so when we heard that Audrey the dog, their little boston terrier was essentially the most important wedding guest we were very excited. She even got an extra special bath in the morning! The weather might not have been as kind to us as we'd have liked but we still made a quick dash to the woods across the road. Otley Chevin has to be one of the best places to have on your doorstep and it quite literally is on the doorstep of the Cheerful Chilli. It's grandeur and immense woody-ness just gets our creative juices going. The fun never stopped either, ice cream vans, friends with guitars, the fantastic magician that is Mark Waddington... it was non-stop aceness! We had an amazing time with some amazing people, with new faces and old (you might recognise a few familiar faces in this blog post).
