If there's one recurring theme in Lyndsay and Ollie's wedding day, it's family. One of our favourite moments was when Dad buttoned up Lyndsay's dress for her, and was just one of those emotional shots that we love to capture for all time. It's these fleeting moments that will mean so much more as time passes. Lyndsay hopped into her VW camper to Holy Spirit Church in Heckmondwike with THE best Father who recognised the importance of us capturing their day. As always, we were asked not to enter the sanctuary but given free reign to do whatever we needed. Naturally, we were as quiet as literal church mice and barely moved once we'd got into our good spots. But being allowed to choose where to take photos from and not having it dictated to us by the higher-ups as is the norm meant we got some of the most lovely church wedding photos we've ever taken. Lyndsay and Ollie exited to the biggest confetti cloud we've ever seen, the bought 1kg of confetti and it certainly shows... we're still finding it in our camera bags! London buses took the guests to East Riddlesden Hall and whilst we waited for them all to turn up (never underestimate how much longer vintage buses take to get places!!), we captured some portraits of Lyndsay and Ollie in the old barn in that gorgeous, contrasty yet soft light. Ollie is a TV director so it was a change of pace for him to be in front of the camera rather than behind it! After speeches and whilst everyone tucked into their meals catered by The Hog and Apple, we scouted out some locations for a round of sunset portraits - just a 5 minute extra session we often like to do if the light is right. And boy, are we glad we planned it! The epic photo of Lyndsay and Ollie in the trees is a real favourite of ours (and theirs) already! Fun on the lawn in the warm sun was followed by dancefloor antics which of course we had to get involved with, just rounding off an amazing day at East Riddlesden Hall.
