I've been shooting weddings for over 14 years and have been there for over 400 couples tying the knot. From enormous 3-day festival weddings to intimate elopement weddings with just two guests I've created memories for all types of weddings.

I'm based in Leeds and York and I love the diversity of Yorkshire weddings, from Leeds City Centre weddings to rural barn wedding venues in North Yorkshire. I also love to shoot micro-weddings at York Register Office.

We had our wedding on the 5th December at York registry office and James was our photographer. The pictures turned out absolutely amazing and were so beautiful! We knew we wanted a photographer that took relaxed photographs, weren't too formal and just captured the love and magic of the day- James did exactly that! He was very professional but easy going and friendly ( half the time we didn't even know he was taking photographs, it was very relaxed!). He met all of our requests for photos and took his time to capture what one of my bridesmaids said were 'some of the best wedding photographs I've ever seen and I've been to a lot of weddings!'. Can't thank James enough for the beautiful way he captured our day- we've been looking at the photos every day- they are so special! James was wonderful! He was so easy to deal during the organisation stage and it was really straight forward to discuss what photography package would work best for us.

On the day, he just blended in! We barely knew he was there (apart from the family portraits when he was a pro at positioning everyone!). It's been amazing to look through all the candid shots of things we hadn't even known were happening on the day.

James photographed our small midweek register office ceremony and we are SO HAPPY with the results. He was only with us for 1.5hrs but we received over 100 photos and had a hard time choosing which ones to print. My husband and I got married on the 10th August 2024 at the Hospitium in the Museum Gardens. I generally hate having my photo taken, and was therefore very nervous about the day. However, James from Mine and Thine made us feel relaxed and comfortable throughout. He was non-intrusive and friendly, and the photos are stunning! James photographed our wedding last September and we couldn't recommend him more!
He was professional, friendly and put us at ease straight away. We had an engagement shoot in York a few months ahead of the wedding which was good fun and a nice opportunity to get used to being photographed before the big day.
On our wedding day James and his second photographer Karl captured all the big moments, as well as so many lovely candid moments, with us barely noticing they were there.
We were blown away by the final pictures which were filled with colour and fun. We also ordered an album through the website which is gorgeous quality

James was perfect for our vows renewal ceremony in York. He was always responsive leading up to our event. The day of the event, James was punctual and ready to shoot. We were completely at ease with him, and often forgot he was still there shooting. He captured some gorgeous, candid moments. He was kind and confidently guided us through a lovely photo shoot after the ceremony around the main York attractions, and he knew just where the light would be right to capture the perfect shot. James photographed our wedding in June 2024 in North Yorkshire. We requested relaxed, candid shots and lots of photos of our guests and the venue - James delivered the brief perfectly.

We never felt pressured to perform for a camera, in fact we barely even noticed when he was taking such great shots of the ceremony and speeches. For our posed photographs, he made us feel very relaxed and unawkward, and the results were fantastic.

Our venue was a sprawling outdoor estate and James captured so many fun moments amongst our guests that we would missed otherwise.

James was very personable and friendly, and as a queer couple we align with his inclusive approach to his work.

James is an absolutely wonderful photographer who recently captured our wedding day.

I searched high and low for a wedding photographer as our wedding was really low-key & intimate - we didn't need an all-day photographer. I also am not a fan of 'cheesy' wedding photos, I wanted pictures which 'naturally' captured the day, something I noticed is evident throughout James' work.

James offers a special package for smaller weddings which is a great price for a couple of hours - this was exactly what we needed to capture our ceremony and get some lovely pictures around York.

The photos turned out wonderful and we received them just a couple of weeks after the wedding, which is an amazing turnaround time.

Thank you SO much for capturing our day so beautifully, I will forever cherish these pictures.
