One of many weddings we've got at Harewood House this year, Ed & Gemma kicked off the first wedding not only at Harewood House but of the 2015 calendar. As an added bonus, they are also the 100th wedding we've shot since we started a few years ago so it was celebrations all round!
We met up with Ed and home and Gemma at the lovely Hotel Du Vin in Harrogate for their morning preparations. After a bit of dutch courage on Ed's part and after a hiccup with a broken down bus for Gemma's bridesmaids they had a lovely, touching ceremony at St James' in Horsforth. It was then a mere hop, skip and jump over to the wedding reception at Harewood House with drinks on the terrace and portraits on the lake. The sun broke out for just a few minutes during our little portrait session in the woods and it couldn't have come at a better time! After a few extra portraits in front of the grand main house, taking in the lovely scenery it was time for some hilarious speeches and the all important display of stellar dance moves into the night.
We even made time for a few minutes just for some sunset photos in the grounds of Harewood House, drinking in the love with the inky blue backdrop of the sky. If you've got a few minutes at your own wedding around sunset time, you'll thank yourselves for the photos from that little bit of quiet time with just the two of you!
