Hannah and Matt's day is the epitome of a fantastic DIY family wedding. Where everything was handmade, even down to mum on her sewing machine sewing baby booties on the wedding morning! We love it when a family comes together to make a wedding dream a reality.

We arrived in the morning to find our favourite Papakata tipis in the back garden and everyone pitching in to set up hay bales, wild country flowers and all the other little details. Mum's garden, by the way, is a wonderful blend of wildflowers in a manicured setting punctuated with her own wire sculptures. All the flowers were home grown and absolutely gorgeous!

Hannah and Matt's ceremony was at the simply stunning Sledmere House. It's genuinely a breathtaking Georgian country manor near Driffield with the nicest ceremony room we've ever seen. We already have our fingers crossed for coming back here soon. After some wedding photos at Sledmere House, we made the short journey back to the homestead for plenty of garden lawn games, croquet, bowling, coconut shy and the worlds hardest bat the rat, all made by Hannah's dad and family - and we always love it when a bride lets her hair down and has a good old bounce on the trampoline!

Following the cute afternoon tea canapes made up of little finger sandwiches in the afternoon sun we enjoyed a little extra portrait session around mum's meadow garden making sure to take in the poppy field and some lovely fresh portraits under the willow tree. And of course, what's a party without rounding it out with a good old fashion ceilidh!

We loved Hannah & Matt's day for how much is was all about family, and it's one of the most important things on a wedding day, everyone coming together for two people in love.
