Leanne & Andy's Aussie-Anglo winter wedding at Bedern Hall & Poppleton Tithe Barn was a real blast to kick off the new 2018 season! From the groomsmen all struggling to tie a tie, to the beautiful moments of Leanne being helped into her dress, the morning was fun and all the more importantly, great for photos (especially the confused tie-tying faces!)
Leanne and Andy got married at Bedern Hall, a lovely stone building in the heart of York dating back to the 14th Century. We love that Andy shed a tear as his wife-to-be walked down the aisle with her mum... we do love a crier! The ceremony was followed by drinks in the hall before an army of confetti throwers greeted them back outside. As the guests made their way to their reception venue at Poppleton Tithe Barn, Leanne and Andy nipped into the side streets for a few portraits. Dodging the tourists and the hustle and bustle of the city, we stole away brief moments for a quick cuddle as we walked through the streets. We ended up with views of the Minster down cobbled streets to round off a relaxing 15 minutes away from it all.
Back at Poppleton Tithe Barn, itself a wonderfully oak beamed barn wedding venue in the North of York, we were greeted to Gypsy Jazz and more drinks. Quick informal group photos led to speeches - cue a couple more tears! The evening was rounded off with more Jazz and dancing. A highlight of the day has to be the famous 'Andy finger point' dance move, a signature style if you will of our dashing groom. The fact that everyone was doing it was just extra funny!
And before we left them to it for the night, we squeezed in a single portrait to round off the day and it's already one of our favourites. Thanks for having us be a part of your day guys, we're truly honoured.
