We started the day of Liz & Adam's East Keswick Village Hall wedding at the amazing Cufforth House in Becca Park. It's a grand private house in North Leeds that's great for cramming in the whole family ahead of the big day which is where we met with Liz. Getting ready in the master bedroom with her bridesmaids and hustle and bustle of her family getting ready within earshot. Adam was enjoying a swift half at the Bingley Arms, just next door to their church ceremony at Bardsey All Hallows, where we shot our very first wedding back in 2010!
Bardsey All Hallows is perfect for weddings in the Spring. It's path from the gate to the door is lines with beautiful cherry blossom trees which look absolutely gorgeous for photos. After the I-do's and a shower of confetti it was time to jump on the vintage bus and head over to their reception at East Keswick Village Hall. We always try not to drag our couples away from their guests for too long, so the bus was a perfect oppotunity just to get some relaxed fun portraits before heading in to greet their guests.
Speeches were preceded by a wedding breakfast of fish and chips. It was just like being at the chippie and who doesn't love a chippie tea!!?
After the speeches and a quick 5 minute portrait session, it was time for first dance. Adam & Liz did their thing before half-way through their dance, the stage curtains opened to the sounds of New York Brass Band to see them through the rest of the their song. We loved the surprise on everyone's faces! The brass band took them through into the night and of course we stayed long enough to enjoy it too!
