From just 2 guests to over 200, big and small, barns, farms, fields, conservatories, new lives, second starts, new beginnings, family, new family, friends, promises, devotion, tears, joy, break-neck dance moves, moving first dances; this was the best of 2018.

We witnessed 40 marriages throughout 2018, each and every one completely different. With over 30 of those in Yorkshire, we felt truly at home last year. Rural barn weddings and farm wedding venues have been a feature throughout the gorgeous summer we were blessed with. Sipping cocktails in open fields in the evening and dancing with all the doors open, farm weddings couldn't be beaten for just how well they paired with the weather. Our favourites had to be Keeley & Johnny's wedding at Castle Farm, and Karen & Mike's wedding at The Barns, East Yorkshire. This was also the year of us witnessing couples finding new love and fresh starts with their second marriages, it's not just the 20 and 30 somethings that know how to party! And as with every year, the teachers were in full force in early August - we love you teachers!

Our ethos has always been to capture the joyful moments that really matter. We love an epic wedding portrait but we don't want you to have to spend all day doing it and missing out on the fun of your day. We've always said we want you to get back to the party so we can do what we do best, capture everyone really enjoying themselves. This little best of 2018 is a small snippet of just that.
