This is our first ever time providing Middleton Lodge Fig House wedding photography, and it has shot right up there on our favourite venues list! We met Kim and Chris at Keeley and Johnny's barn wedding last year and the crowd there were absolutely fantastic - relaxed but up for good fun. And that's exactly the crowd that Kim and Chris attracted to their big day at the Fig House. We began the day with Kim in the cottages and Chris in the main house. Kim's bridesmaid's made her a memory book as a gift which was full of all sorts of amazing photos! Chris and the boys enjoyed a quick drink before greeting guests at the Fig House.
Before the ceremony began, Kim and Chris decided to do a first look to get all of the emotion out of the way and so they could enjoy the ceremony. Kim sneaked up on the waiting Chris before the big reveal. We love this moment! With that, it was final touches before the main event. Led by Lisa Wilson, and a fantastic poem by Owain they said their I Do's before making their way back down the aisle to confetti in the amazing gardens. Kim and Chris were blessed with glorious weather and after a few drinks we made full use of the frankly stunning walled gardens for their portraits. We love gardens and gardening (have you not seen our instagram!?) Sneaking around the sweet peas, thalictrum and anemones, we made some beautifully romantic photos of these two!
Back in the Fig House, the trestle tables were laid out for an informal meal but first, time for speeches. Dad, the best woman and Chris all told tales, swapped stories and poured their hearts out and everyone laughed and cheered along the way. As the evening turned golden, we made a final pitstop for some last portraits. We love how relaxed and happy these two were in front of the camera and their joy radiates through the photos. To round off the day it was first dance followed by a surprise appearance by Back Chat Brass to take them away into the night.
