Maddie & Sam's big day was our first time as Woodstock York wedding photographers. And what a fantastic new barn wedding venue it is in York, a great addition to the more relaxed wedding scene that we love so much! Maddie & Sam began their day in the centre of York before Sam and the boys walked through the city to St Wilfrids Church, a beautiful space that you can easily miss in the shadow of the Minster. As the hour loomed, Maddie, her dad and the bridesmaids made the 2 minute walk to the church where Sam eagerly awaited. With the ceremony signed off and sealed with a kiss, Maddie and Sam greeted all the guests as they spilled out into the streets of York. As they all made their way to Woodstock, Maddie and Sam enjoyed 5 minutes to reflect on their newly married status on a quick walk through the city for photos. They absolutely milked it (and why not!?) and Maddie's amazing dress drew plenty of attention. Sam's dad had restored an MG in time for the wedding and Sam drove his bride to Woodstock, arriving in style! A confetti gauntlet awaited them when they arrived before the afternoon simmered down to drinks and laughter in the courtyard. The speeches commenced with a specially written interactive song by Maddie's dad who had the whole room singing! A gorgeous meal later and the evening rolled into dancing and more good times. We absolutely loved our first time as Woodstock York wedding photographers and can't wait to be back again!
