Becky & Paul gave me a brief for what they wanted their Saddle Room wedding photography to look like. It should incorporate lots of space, light, and plenty of the Yorkshire views. This is exactly my type of brief so I delivered it in spades!

The two got ready at The Saddle Room at Forbidden Corner. There's was plenty of weather watching - even down to the last remaining minutes before making the decision to have a fully outdoor ceremony at Jervaulx Abbey or to have it under covers. We ended up under covers but that was no great shame as it was a beautiful, emotional, tearful ceremony.

Thankfully, the weather brightened up and stayed sunny the whole of the rest of the day with guests soaking up the sunshine and enjoying drinks and canapes whilst we took group photos and portraits around the abbey ruins at Jervaulx Abbey.

The guests then headed over to The Saddle Room for the reception, soaking in that glorious view which made for a stunning backdrop for speeches outdoors and relaxing with guests.

I've been a Jervaulx Abbey wedding photographer many times, but this was my first time providing Saddle Room wedding photography and I'd love to go back. If you're planning a wedding in the Yorkshire Dales, I'd love to be involved!
