Beth and James were blessed with absolutely stunning weather for their Devonshire Arms wedding. Glorious soft sunlight which made photos a breeze, especially in the grand setting of Bolton Abbey where they got married.
James got ready at the Devonshire Arms whilst Beth was over in Harrogate. I think the emotions of seeing his gorgeous bride walking down the aisle at Bolton Priory maybe resulted in a tear or two from James. And then again, once or twice throughout the day. We'll forgive him, those photos are awesome and Beth did indeed look amazing!
After the wedding ceremony at Bolton Priory we took Beth and James for some photos around Bolton Abbey before the short trip down the road to the Devonshire Arms, the perfect choice for good food, good hospitality and a great location. Beth and James offered up a selection of 'Old, New, Borrowed and Blue' cocktails during the drinks reception which was a really nice touch, and particularly nice to sip on whilst enjoying the string quartet. All the kids running around made for great photos too and certainly kept us on our toes!
After some group photos and speeches we headed out into the country roads for a few extra portraits just before sunset. Everybody always has a pang of nervousness about portraits, but in reality everyone loves the 15-20 minutes they get to break away from the day and connect with each other as a newlywed couple. The smiles are inevitable!
Thanks Beth and James for inviting us to capture all the magic!
