If you've seen our own elopement wedding from earlier in the year, you'll know we're advocates of intimate weddings. There's just a different level of informality when it's just a couple and their closest friends and family, and that suits our reportage style of wedding photography down to the ground. Vanessa and Dan had a Chevin Country Park Hotel wedding at Otley Chevin, a fantastic rustic log cabin wedding venue in North Leeds. With just 23 of their nearest and dearest, we joined them for their intimate ceremony which Vanessa strolled up to through the surrounding woodland with her dad. And that was it, formalities over with! The rest of the day was fun, drinks, food and healthy conversation. Vanessa and Dan made time for photos though, opting for less rigidity in their day and instead enjoying some time away together. We took a quick trip up the road to Otley Chevin for wedding photos on Surprise View, a magnificent vista for wedding photos! We were still back in time for tea though where some quick speeches and a cake cut was about as formal as it got. What a fantastic day to celebrate your love for each other.
