We had so many laughs and such a good time at Sam and James' wedding at Denton Hall. They were both absolutely hilarious to be with and threw one heck of a party. We kicked the day off in Haworth with James getting ready and Sam close by. James made his way to the church St Michaels and All Angels in Haworth via a quick pub stop. Closely followed by Sam who walked down the aisle with her granddad. Our favourite moment of the ceremony though is the best man blubbing as Sam came down the aisle - gotta love the love between best buds on a wedding day.
Sam and James exited the church onto Haworth Main Street through confetti cloud into the throngs of family, friends and tourists alike! We've never seen so many cameras at a wedding! Whilst guests made their way to Denton Hall, we made a quick stop along the way to a field of wheat with Denton in the background. It was a lovely place to stop for a quiet moment (or as quiet as it gets with these two jokers!) and make some happy portraits of the two newlyweds.
Back at Denton Hall everyone enjoyed drinks on the steps, music by the amazing Hattie Murdoch and a bouquet toss followed by a nervous looking boyfriend of the catcher! Speeches were a mixture of tear jerkers and cringe-makers - the perfect blend. Drinks continued into the evening sunlight, with Sam and James both jumping onto the bucking bronco.
When it came time for the cake cut, James wielded a sword and gave that cake a proper stabbing for good measure... y'know just to make sure it was properly cut! But, the best of the day...The Best. Dancefloor. Ever! Not only did they have a whole dance routine planned, there were confetti canons and some serious shapes being thrown! We couldn't resist joining in the fun. What an amazing part, what an amazing day. Thank you so, so much for having us at your Denton Hall wedding Sam and James!
