This is our first ever Easby Hall Wedding; in fact, we'd never even heard of it until Nicola & Dom asked us to be their wedding photographers! But we're so glad they did because this is one glorious venue. Nestled on the top of a hill in a sleepy village in North Yorkshire, overlooking Easby Abbey and the church in which Nicola & Dom were to be married in just a few short hours, the bridal party were all upstairs getting ready. Dom is a decorated mixologist so this was always going to be a free-flowing wedding with plenty of flavour! Guests gathered at the church and after walking down the aisle with his mum, Dom waited patiently for his bride. These two beamed their way through their ceremony before sealing it with a kiss and greeting all their friends and family under a shower of confetti.
Nicola & Dom walked on ahead of their guests back up the hill. They had an amazing engagement shoot where they just let go and enjoyed just being themselves. So it came as no surprise that Nicola & Dom mucked about all the way up the hill, laughing and giggling. The champagne flowed, cocktails were shaken, good time rolled. We enjoyed a few quiet moments making portaits in the stunning gardens, finding some of the dreamiest light we could imagine. If you're considering having an Easby Hall wedding, please bring us along, it's a photographer's dream!
Into the reception for meal and speeches surrounded by stunning Dahlias and lush greenery, with Yorkshire Rhubarb Gin wedding favours (of course). Speeches were a combination of emotional and cringe-making but oh-so good! The evening mellowed with drinks on the terrace, enjoying the nice relaxed wedding venue and the late summer sun. Then came the first dance and - without being hyperbolic- we've never had a dance floor packed for so long! These people know how to party so we stayed to party with them and enjoy the amazing atmosphere too..
