When a couple tells us they're having a Priory Cottages wedding, it's like music to our ears. The Priory offers that rare, perfect blend of amazing rural location, oodles of photo opportunities, onsite accommodation, a barn and a marquee and quite possibly the best staff in the industry. It's without a doubt one of our absolute favourite wedding venues and returning to it time and time again is just a pleasure to us.
Before we even begin, just take a moment to look at the next 16 images. Go look now. We'll wait. This is what we love about being a wedding photographer duo. Jabe writing his card and packing his wedding gift to his soon to be bride, Emma sending him his. Telling this perfect little story about two people is everything we're about and we couldn't do it without being a duo. We loved all the anticipation of the morning, Jabe's nervous faces, Emma's quiet contemplation and oh those flower girls! As you may or may not know, (you should if you follow our personal instagram!) we're very keen gardeners, so the when the bouquet by Simply by Arrangement came with its own little card detailing all the individual flowers in it, we were smitten! What a lovely touch!
The ceremony in the barn had one or two tears that quickly turned into the happiest beaming smiles! Canapes on the terrace and a few informal group photos before taking a lap around the farm. We even managed to find some areas we'd never used despite all the times we've shot Priory Cottages weddings amongst the mini orchard. It's a new favourite spot! We also had to take advantage of that awesome big red wall to compliment the colour scheme! After a hearty meal, touching speeches and a birthday cake for Jabe's gran we took advantage of the changeover time for one last quick portrait session in the field amongst the hay stacks. That's the joy of shooting weddings at The Priory, it's a working farm that continually changes every time we go. There's always something new and exciting to use for wedding photos.
The first dance followed and another favourite moment was when Jabe's gran and Emma's granddad hit the dancefloor together. Nothing says a wedding is two families coming together quite like moments like these.
Check out Emma & Jabe's engagement shoot too.
