I love a DIY farm wedding! I've been a North Yorkshire farm wedding photographer for many years now, and they're always the best weddings. Everyone mucks in setting up, family and friends contribute flowers, cakes, table settings, you name it. They're the type of weddings born out of the can do Yorkshire attitude of getting stuck in.
Fi and Rob's wedding was just that, on the edge of the North York Moors it was a perfect setting. They got married at the nearby St Gregory's Church in Kirkdale, a wonderfully old Anglo-Saxon church, steeped in history. As the guests headed to the marquee, Fi and Rob took to the moors for some stunningly dramatic wedding portraits. I absolutely love these!
The rest of the day was wonderfully relaxed and focused on the most important aspect of any wedding day: just enjoying themselves. When couples and their guests just settle in to having an amazing stress-free time, that's when I take the best photos and that absolutely shines through with Fi and Rob's wedding.
