I was so happy when Hollie & Harri asked me to be their Burtonfields Hall wedding photographer, a lovingly renovated family home, now wedding venue, just outside of York. I'd never shot here but it's the perfect balance of relaxed, family-style wedding venue and a perfect spot for country manor-style elegance.

Hollie & Harri got married in the elegant Billiards Room, overlooking the green fields beyond followed by confetti out in front of the hall. A relaxed afternoon of drinks and canapés on the terrace was rounded off with speeches and a hearty assortment of comfort food for their wedding breakfast.

As evening rolled in, and plenty of croquet had been played (and the rules argued over), the happy couple popped champagne to top off the champagne tower signalling the start of the evening which kicked off with plenty of dancing.

It was an absolute pleasure to discover this country house wedding venue and to pop my cherry as a Burtonfields Hall wedding photographer. I can't wait to go back!
