You may remember that we shot fellow wedding photographer Paul & Jo's wedding a couple of years ago at The Faversham in Leeds. Well, this time it's Paul's brother, Gary's turn to get married to the lovely Dulcie, this time at Nostell Priory in Wakefield.
Nostell Priory is a gem of architecture in West Yorkshire. It's a fantastic National Trust wedding venue with a handy church on site, the setting for today's wedding ceremony. The Coach House run by Dine Wedding Venues is where all the magic happens and it's a gorgeous place to hold a wedding.
And as luck would have it, Nostell Priory launched their brand new zipline on the same day of Gary & Dulcie's wedding so Dulcie had the honour of christening it as the first bride to ride the zipline... quickly followed by Gary!
And we especially enjoyed some of the best speeches of the year, though we always knew that would be the case with with Paul taking up co-best-man duties!
And of course, when it came to portraits, we'd held out to the last minute to avoid the drizzle when finally the sun came out for some lovely golden sunset light just before disappearing into the night. It couldn't have come at a better time and it was magic how it all came together as we took some portraits around the lush gardens at Nostell Priory. We'll be posting the film photos very soon!
