It seems like so long ago since the very first time we  chatted to Singapore-based Richard and Ciara via Skype, and the build-up has been long and exciting.

Their day was a relaxed, rustic and utterly summery shindig with it's food van, summer cocktails and garden party affair. Exactly the type of thing we love to be involved with! Both got ready in York city centre, with Ciara wearing an elegant lace wedding dress and Rich a pale blue suit with a pink cravat. Together they oozed style!

After a father-daughter practice walk outside the church, they walked down the aisle at St Lawrence Church in York City Centre to Rich waiting at the end with a beaming smile on his face. From then on, it was all about the fun garden party at Tithe Barn in Nether Poppleton. It's a complete 'blank canvas' venue where Richard and Ciara could put their own stamp on it and make it their own. They decorated it with long trestle tables, apple place names, and rustic wooden tableware. The topped it off with a cake of cheese and some (extremely!) strong cocktails - we think it was a case of stick ALL the booze into Kilner jars! - and summery canapés from Cobble Kitchen. It was honestly, the perfect summer wedding setup.

Out in the garden, Best Man Chris made his informal yet heart-warming speech early due to him having a flight out that afternoon to start his new job in China. Good luck Chris!

During their portrait session we soaked up the gorgeous, warm light with a walk around the adjoining orchard that fitted in oh-so-well with their rustic, relaxed wedding. We absolutely love these portraits. How anyone can look so stylish, natural and relaxed all at the same time is beyond us, but both of them do it so effortlessly and were amazing in front of the camera.

Following a few more speeches over the trestle tables in the barn, Cobble Kitchen served up a fantastic picnic buffet with sumptuous sandwiches and hearty pork pies! Rounded off with some darn good ice creams from Cowlick Creamery, the taste of summer was complete! And of course, it wouldn't be a party without everyone joining in for the ceilidh - always a crowd favourite!
