We've got to say it, Saltaire United Reformed Church is our favourite church! Not only is it a majestic looking building, it's in the fantastic village of Saltaire which is very close to our hearts but furthermore, Reverend Caroline is the vicar for the URC and she's just the most lovely, welcoming person you'll ever meet. So, we were obviously excited when Kat & James asked us to shoot their wedding there!
Kat started off the day at her parents home whilst James readied himself with his best woman (his twin sister) at Chevin Country Park Hotel in Otley. A short vintage bus ride away, these two lovely people got married in front of all their family and friends at Saltaire URC. The drizzle certainly didn't dampen their spirits as they did a quick lap around the Chevin Hotel grounds dodging the rain drops.
The fantastic speeches were concluded by the best woman's hilarious clip show of James through the ages. The lesson here being, always be careful with how much ammunition your best person has - a twin comes with a full arsenal of life events at their disposal! After the wedding breakfast and as the rain took a break, we made a quick dash for some photos on the Chevin, the whole reason they picked the Chevin Country Park Hotel as their wedding venue. We timed it right as the rain sank into the valley below and we peaked out above the worst of the weather, high on the cliffs.
The end of the day was topped off with a well rehearsed first dance, to everyone's amazement and then the whole family joining on the dance floor to see them through the night. Thanks for having us be a part of your awesome day Kat and James!
