The Alma Inn in Colne was the perfect countryside setting for Sam & Gary's relaxed, fun wedding surrounded by the grand landscapes of Lancashire. We joined them right from the good bits, as Gary took his place at the end of the aisle and Sam came in with her beaming smile. The laughed and smiled the whole way through their ceremony, setting the tone for the entire day.
What we loved about Sam & Gary's day was that everything was about having fun! The table settings were evidence enough of that, with plenty of props for guests to take photos, and a quiz that involved drawing yourself and included a piece of plasticine to sculpt your own commemorative gift for Sam & Gary!
But oooh, that countryside! We couldn't get enough of it and we found the perfect time to go out and catch the golden hour sunset rays, with both Sam and Gary hopping over drystone walls and running out into the fields... it couldn't have been any more perfect!
It's also said that there isn't an instrument Gary can't play and he made a good effort in proving that to be true as his band Short Shelflife played two sets in the evening with the dancefloor packed start to finish. Followed by a first dance to Sam's dad's DJ skills, the day was rounded out perfectly.
