So what do you do when you've gotten ready for your wedding so early that you've got loads of time to kill that not even drinking can fill - break out Ticket to Ride! That's what Chris and the boys did whilst Kirsten and the girls got ready. If you've got time for an entire board game, you've definitely been super-keen to get ready! We were so happy when Chris and Kirsten asked us to be their Faversham Leeds wedding photographer as it's one of our favourite Leeds city centre wedding venues and has a long history with us. This is our 9th wedding here since we started shooting weddings and we've seen the place grow and mature and had so many good weddings here - we absolutely adore it! Before their ceremony in the conservatory, Chris and Kirsten opted for a first look to shake out the nerves. Flanked by their bridesmaids and groomsmen for support they met each other with beaming smiles before making their way down the aisle together hand in hand. Kirsten's bridesmaids wore colourful dresses which were picked out in a hand stitched embellishment on the neckline of Kirsten's dress. After the ceremony in the conservatory, it was outside for confetti. But this was no ordinary confetti, it was no mess confetti. This is something we've never come across before but it makes perfect sense to be able to clean it all up. Needless to say... it's not quite the normal effect that confetti has and is perfect if you want to ensnare the newlyweds in a net of silver plastic!! With drinks on the terrace, the afternoon was a nice laid back affair and we stole away for a few minutes to take in the autumnal colours which were echoed in the bouquet. Before speeches, Chris and Kirsten's family gathered around for a handfasting ceremony where they physically tied the knot. We love a humanist ceremony and this was a nice casual way to approach it. As the evening rolled in, we made one last portrait taking in all the urban vibes of Leeds city centre before hitting that dancefloor!
